About Us

Safety

Safety is the most important aspect of our work. Our employees have OSHA 10 training, and our shop foreman and our field foremen have OSHA 30 training. Employees wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for the task being performed. Safety is always discussed at our weekly staff meetings, and we follow the required safety guidelines for each of

our projects.

Certified Welders

Our welders are certified to American Welding Standards (AWS) D1.1.

Business Certifications

We are a City of Houston certified fabricator. We carry several business certifications such as SBE, MBE, and HUB. We also participate in the Houston First business program, and we are members of the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

Insurance

We carry business liability insurance, worker’s compensation insurance, and auto insurance. Please contact us for our current policy limits.

History of A. G. Welding

A.G. Welding was founded in 1982. From its early years as a small company, A.G. Welding formed a reputation of providing high quality work and great customer service. Services offered included residential stairs, balcony railings, fences and gates. Customers were primarily homeowners, custom home builders, remodelers and interior designers.


In December 2002 the company was purchased by its current owner, Guy Felton who was attracted to this business opportunity for the same reasons its customers used A.G. Welding – high quality fabrication products and good customer service.


In 2005, the company expanded to include commercial work, with an emphasis on structural steel and miscellaneous metals. A.G. Welding expanded its customer base to include general contractors, commercial property owners, property management companies, and architects. We provide services to single family and multi-family homes, and all types of commercial projects.


In 2009 A.G. Welding became certified as a minority business. In 2017, A.G. Welding became certified by the City of Houston as a structural steel fabricator.


A.G. Welding has grown considerably over the years, both in its number of employees and the project size that we are able to take on, but in many ways, we remain that same small company, providing great quality work and personal customer service to our residential and commercial customers.
